Our deepest thanks to the community
This past year has been unprecedented. Thankfully, so too has the generous support we’ve received from our community.
New and returning individual, corporate and community donors stepped forward with remarkable generosity, helping to meet the most urgent and immediate needs of our hospital. Women’s College Hospital received a $1 million grant from the 2020 TD Ready Challenge to address impacts of COVID-19 and accelerate the delivery of Women’s Virtual; Women’s College Health Research, an independent organization and WCHF’s largest donor, made a tremendous $800,000 gift to advance research into the health of older women and bolster the hospital’s COVID-19 relief efforts; and long-time WCHF donor Louise Fast made a remarkable $1 million gift to help make virtual care a mainstream option for patients and providers; and many more.
In addition to cash donations, our community reached out with special in-kind gifts for our hospital’s frontline staff. From snacks and meals to care packages, vehicles and donations that have helped us meet the most pressing needs of our patients, staff and physicians, the outpouring of support we’ve witnessed has been remarkable.
Thanks to the shared vision and tremendous generosity of our donor community, Women’s has turned a year of challenge into a year of innovation, making advancements in research, care and health equity for all.
We are so grateful.
